A reading, from the Book of Cat Armaments, Chapter 3, Verses 1-7:

“Now the Alice was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.  And she said to the Colin, “Indeed, has Mom said, ‘You shall not eat from any dish of the kitchen’?”  2 And the Colin said to the Alice, “From the dish of the floor of the kitchen we may eat; 3 but from the dish of the counter which is high up in the kitchen, Mom has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, lest you die.’”  4 And the Alice said to the Colin, “You surely shall not die!  5 “For Mom knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like Dad, knowing good and evil.”  6 When the Colin saw that the counter was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the counter was desirable to make one wise, he took from its dishes and ate; and he gave also to his sister with him, and she ate.  7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were in deep shit; and they did duck and cover and use coverings of furniture and Dad.”
